First Session: Clients meet with me to discuss concerns and how therapy may be of help. Working goals are established to guide treatment.
On-going Sessions: I work in collaboration with the clients to make and maintain the changes they have been seeking. I have a respectful, supportive and empathic approach that promotes safety, as well as enthusiasm and motivation. My practice is resource based and I encourage each client's natural inclination to reach his or her highest potential. Often, normal disturbances are evidence that "something is waking up " in the life of a person and such disturbances can become destructive or provide hidden opportunities for major growth. Clients often find that by honoring the "wake-up calls" of confusion or emotional pain, they can move into a more satisfying and connected life. The process is a brief collaborative effort based on each unique individual's or family's needs and goals.
